FAQs

When should we make our booking with you?
As soon as possible, especially if you plan to get married over the Sydney summertime. You must provide me with a document known as the 'Notice of Intended Marriage' (NOIM) at least one month prior to your wedding date. In addition, I will require specific identity documents which we can discuss over the phone.

It is best to contact me as soon as possible to avoid delays.

If you need to be married with less than 1 calendar months notice, you can apply for a 'shortening of time' through your local court. I can advise you of those legal steps if this is the case for you.

How many times do we meet with you?
I personally like to meet couples twice before the wedding day to ensure that I get to know them well. We meet once on a video call and once in person prior to the wedding. This is all included as part of my fees.

Which documents do I need to show you before our wedding?
The 'Notice of Intended Marriage' (NOIM) must be completed at least one month prior to your wedding date. I will also require some identity documents. I will lodge the NOIM after you are married. If you do not get married within 18 months of lodgement, it expires.

Do you travel outside Sydney?

For sure! I enjoy travelling outside of the city. There will be some extra fees for travel and accomodation though. Let me know what you're thinking and we can work it through together.

If my partner is away and cannot sign the NOIM, what do I do?
No problem- the NOIM can be signed with just one signature however, your partner will need to still sign it before your wedding day.

Do you have a PA sound system?
I have a Behringer PA system which also includes bluetooth connectivity. This can be used for any music you wish to include in the ceremony. The use of the PA is all part of my fee.

Do we need witnesses at the wedding ceremony?
Yes, you will require 2 witnesses over the age of 18. These people will be required to sign documents during the ceremony. They do not need to be Australian citizens.

What will happen if you are unwell on the wedding day?
If I am unwell and cannot attend the ceremony, I have some excellent, experienced celebrants that I can contact to step in. These celebrants are readily available and all paperwork will be passed on to them so that your ceremony can go ahead smoothly.

What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
I always ensure that couples have a 'wet weather' back up plan. I recommend having umbrellas in case of rain as well as small water bottles for extreme heat.

We would like to book you. How do we do that?
Amazing! Please contact me as soon as possible to see if I have your date available. A 50% ($750) non-refundable booking fee is required at the time of booking. The final balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the wedding ceremony.
